Apps for macOS and Windows. Install one on the computer at your front desk; tablets and phones on the same Wi-Fi then use it through their web browser.
macOS
For macOS 13 Ventura or later. Not sure which Mac you have? Open the Apple menu → About This Mac: a Chip line (Apple M1, M2, M3…) means Apple silicon; a Processor line (Intel) means Intel.
Open the downloaded file and drag InnsPOS into Applications. The first time you open it, if macOS says it can't check the app for malicious software, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway. If macOS asks whether to accept incoming network connections, choose Allow so tablets can connect.
Windows
For Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).
Run the installer. If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, choose More info and then Run anyway. If Windows asks whether to allow InnsPOS on private networks, choose Allow so tablets can connect.
Getting started
- Get your inn code. Sign up for a free trial and confirm your email address.
- Install the app for your Mac or Windows PC using the steps above.
- Open InnsPOS, choose “Start free trial”, and enter your inn code.
- Connect tablets and phones. Open the app's address, for example
http://192.168.1.20:8000, in a browser on any device connected to the same Wi-Fi. The address is shown at the bottom of the app window. Keep the app open while staff use tablets.
The trial runs on one computer and needs an internet connection at least every 3 days.
